Welcome to SIEC USA

Welcome to the U. S. chapter of the International Society of Business Educators (ISBE), associated with SIEC - La Societe Internationale pour l'Enseignement Commercial, formed in 1901 in Switzerland.

ISBE USA is the premier professional association for US-based business educators providing opportunities to network nationwide and globally, to research and share resources to publish, mentor, and grow.

Join Us in Normal, Illinois for this year's conference, The New Normal in Business Education.  The 95th International Conference will be held July 29 - Aug 2, 2024 on the Illinois State University campus.

The call for proposals is open. Members are encouraged to submit proposals for presentations, posters, workshops, and a discussion panel.


Vendors are needed July 30 and 31, 2024 for our Vendor Hall.  Registration is Open! Be either a Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Artisan level!  We look forward to having you share your expertise and resources with our attendees.

About Us

The US chapter of SIEC-ISBE was chartered in 1947 and boasts a rich history of unparalleled professional development and networking opportunities to members. The US chapter contracted decades ago with another nonprofit organization to manage administrative tasks, an arrangement that ended December 31, 2020.
The new, revitalized US chapter launched Jan 1, 2021 under the name SIEC-USA, offering significantly reduced membership dues, expanded national and international benefits, and improved communications and networking. We remain dedicated to professional development and networking, supporting the vital link between business and business educators nationally and around the world.

The mission of SIEC-USA is to develop an interactive, national and international exchange network among business education professionals.

SIEC-USA and its parent organization SIEC-ISBE offer a slate of professional resources for business educators.

Researchers can submit presentation, workshop, and teaching proposals to the international conference, and research-based manuscripts to the international IJBE journal. 

Members enjoy the quarterly SIEC-ISBE newsletter and SIEC-USA members receive regular emails regarding upcoming events including quarterly membership meetings with featured guests.

Annual International Conference

The 2024 SIEC ISBE international conference is July 29 - August 2, an in-person conference hosted by SIEC USA chapter. Global Exchange, a program of the SIEC USA parent organization SIEC ISBE, allows educators around the world to share their research, presentations, and class sessions with other members, fostering international engagement and collaboration.
